This was the first time I told my story to the BBC and never realised it would go worldwide. I remember that evening when my phone continually went off all night long and I realised that my story had gone online to the BBC magazine world news. I received so many beautiful emails from people around the world Thanking me for talking about something that also affected them. It was also a time when I realised that mental health affected so many people, men as well as women.

I was asked to be interviewed with Ena Miller who visited me at home and talk about living with disfigurement. It was a fun day as I brought my sister Sheila with me who also was involved in the interview. This interview was replayed in March 2018 just before my photoshoot launch. I was then asked to talk on BBC Radio London with Jo Good. When I met with Jo she said that my story on womans hour was the most powerful emotional interview on radio she ever heard. This was amazing for me to hear and I was happy to be able to get my feelings across as well as my story.
